I grew up mostly in southeastern Wisconsin, but I earned my BFA in fiction writing from George Mason University in Virginia. Real-life adventures include housekeeping on a cruise ship and moving too often for my author bios to keep up. I write fiction and speculative poetry, a genre with roots in science fiction, fantasy, and horror. I’ve published poems about organ-eating pet monsters, waking up early in the morning, dogs who are loyal to the end…and beyond, post-apocalyptic princesses, and why children at bus stops are terrifying.
